What narcotics detection products does Trace Eye-D offer?

What does colorimetric screening mean?

The chemistry in a wipe can produce a visible color reaction when the product's target category is detected. The positive color and reading window are specific to each product, so always compare the result with the current product instructions.

Where are Trace Eye-D products made?

Trace Eye-D products are made in the USA. Trace Eye-D is headquartered in Tampa, Florida, and is 100% American-owned.

Use and results

Using the wipes correctly.

How do I use a narcotics detection wipe?

Follow the instructions for the specific product. F1 and C34 are ready when the pouch is opened. M39 and W42 require the internal seal to be activated before the pouch is opened. Wipe the approved substance, residue, object, or surface, then read the stated color within the product's reading window.

How do I use an explosive detection wipe?

Most Trace Eye-D explosive products are ready when the pouch is opened. Follow the current instructions for the exact product, screen only the approved material or surface, and read the wipe within the stated window. Do not substitute instructions from another product.

Can Trace Eye-D wipes be used on skin?

Only F1 is approved for direct skin contact when used as directed. Other Trace Eye-D wipes must not be used on skin.

Can the wipes test sweat?

No. No Trace Eye-D product is approved for sweat testing.

How do I read a result?

Look for the positive color stated for the product and read the wipe within its specified reading window. Activation, approved contact, positive color, and timing can differ by product. The current instructions control.

Why is the result considered presumptive?

A visible reaction provides a presumptive screening result for the product's detection category. Laboratory confirmation is required for evidentiary or diagnostic purposes. Follow agency protocol and the current product instructions.
